In response to these allegations, we publish part of the front page of Ciela’s claim against the CEC, from which it is clear how much the case is for – BGN 43.2 million, and how much is the partial claim – BGN 26,000.

If the court upholds the partial claim, the Central Election Commission will owe the full amount and this is because there is an interpretative decision of the SCC.

VAdS: No conflict of interest

Meanwhile, the Supreme Bar Council (BAdS) came up with a position in which it denies that the CEC’s lawyer Valya Gigova is in a position of conflict of interest as she has proposed and defended before the Supreme Administrative Court a change in Ordinance 1 on minimum lawyers’ fees.

The Supreme Bar Council strongly opposes such abuse of freedom of speech – the amendments to the ordinance reflect the collective general will of the Supreme Bar Council and any suggestions that the adoption of this ordinance promotes “lobbying interests” and that the Deputy Chairman at the time of its adoption was “in conflict of interest” are completely groundless and do not find any normative, Nor a life support.

It should not offer such a text at all and participate in the debates, since the amendment serves its economic interests.
