Harizanov’s company dragged the tax office with 1.4 million and settled in the cheap municipal house?

The municipal house in Krasna Polyana rented to a company of Georgi Harizanov for 416 BGN A month it was initially given to another company that made an expensive repair, this was explained at a hearing in the Finance Committee of the Sofia Municipal Council by the Mayor of Krasna Polyana District Ivan Chakarov. He named the company “Rhea Studio” and the start date of the contract for the house – 2010. A check in the registers shows that “Rhea Studio” is in liquidation and owes 1.4 million to the NRA.

The questions to the mayor came from the municipal councilor Metodi Lalov after the publication of the BRRD that a company of Harizanov’s wife is spread in a large municipal property house for the modest BGN 416. monthly rent. Lalov has requested all contracts and documents for the property, but has not received them. Instead, the regional mayor Ivan Chakarov provided a reference with photos of the property from before the renovation, as well as a plea in favor of the deal with GERB activist Georgi Harizanov.

“We had a lot of complaints that homeless people were accommodated there, that she was failing, we are talking about 2010,” Chakarov said. ” What I have given you as information and as, of course, and with the relevant documents behind it. However, the truth is quite different. The company “Rhea Studio” and the company “Best Brands” have nothing in common in this period 2010 – 2013 and beyond. Best Brands was formed in 2011 and is not the successor to Rea Studio, which at the time exists independently of Best Brands. Moreover, “Rhea Studio” was moved from Sofia to Veliko Tarnovo, transferred to “straw people” and since 2016 has been declared in liquidation. Even before 2011, this company owes the NRA a large amount, which to date has swelled with interest to over BGN 1.4 million.

“Rea Studio” with UIC 131448732 was registered in 2005 by Vladislava Kodeva (Harizanova’s maiden name), who holds 95% of the shares and Anna Georgieva. It is engaged in retail trade in non-specialized stores with various goods and in 2007 it reported 492 thousand. revenue from sales. However, not a single annual financial statement has been entered in the Commercial Register.

Kodeva sold the company on January 25, 2010 to Dimitar Angelov from Sofia, who resold it on December 3, 2010 to Botyu Borisov Ivanov from the village of Pchelishte, Veliko Tarnovo. In the name of this person are recorded 37 companies, several of which with large debts to the NRA – a total of BGN 8.5 million. Among them is “Rea Studio”, which owes to date BGN 1,383,072.03. of the Exchequer.

The NRA became interested in “Rhea Studio” at the end of 2010, when she was still in Sofia. Dimitar Angelov was summoned for explanations on November 23, 2010 at the NRA – Sofia at N. Yonkov. On 06.12.2010 a subpoena was sent by the National Revenue Agency Veliko Tarnovo, already in the name of Botyu Ivanov. A further 36 subpoenas in various proceedings followed. According to the NRA’s official list of companies that have large debts but no property, the company was introduced there even before 2011.

Whether from the harassment of the tax authorities or from something else, Botyu Ivanov passed on the spirit of God in 2015, after which the District Prosecutor’s Office – Veliko Tarnovo filed with the District Court – Veliko Tarnovo a claim to terminate the company “Rea Studio” Ltd. The court upheld the claim and lawyer Radka Dimitrova was appointed liquidator. However, it found that there were no documents suitable for liquidation proceedings and applied to be deleted as liquidator. In her place was appointed Petar Gatev, who was also a liquidator of other companies associated with the late Botyu Ivanov.

As for “Best Brands” Ltd., which signed in 2013 a lease agreement with Krasna Polyana District, it was established in April 2011 by Vladislava’s mother – Tsvetanka Kodeva. Tsvetanka was the owner and manager of the company until February 2013, when Vladislava replaced it. Since its inception, “Best Brands” has been registered at the address of the house in question. In the case of Rea Studio, there is obviously tax evasion and social security contributions in particularly large amounts, a compound act punishable by imprisonment of three to eight years and confiscation of part or all of the property.

But the words of Mayor Ivan Chakarov make it clear that while hiding from the tax authorities in the villages of Veliko Tarnovo, the company invested in expensive repairs and paid rent to the municipality in the period 2010 – 2013.

“With regard to the amounts that are quoted, we can take them out month by month, they are printouts, they are kept, I have emphasized more than once what amount has been contributed to this house… I have documents here, they have presented at the time what amounts they have invested for this repair,” Chakarov explains.

The fact that such documents are available in Sofia Municipality, but not found by the appointed liquidator, should please both the NRA and the Prosecutor’s Office if it decides to prosecute this audacious tax evasion.
