We started 2024 with <\/span>Borislav Sarafov<\/b>, we ended it also with him and how ad hoc prosecutor <\/span>Daniela Taleva<\/b> (<\/span>not<\/b>) <\/span>investigated him<\/b><\/a>. \u0417\u0430\u043f\u043e\u0447\u043d\u0430\u0445\u043c\u0435 \u0438 \u043d\u043e\u0432\u0430\u0442\u0430 2025-\u0442\u0430 \u0441 \u0440\u0430\u0437\u0441\u043b\u0435\u0434\u0432\u0430\u043d\u0435 \u043d\u0430 \u0440\u0430\u0437\u0440\u0430\u0441\u0442\u0432\u0430\u0449\u0430\u0442\u0430 \u0441\u0435 <\/span>real estate empire<\/span><\/a> of Sarafov’s relatives.<\/span> In the summer of 2023, after “feinting” <\/span>Ivan Geshev<\/b><\/p>\n

and quickly ascended to the prosecutor’s throne, acting Borislav Sarafov<\/strong> very quickly buried all the cases that broke the “rahata” of the person Boyko Metodiev Borisov – Barcelona Gate, Skullgate and Drawergate. Obviously, this was the main task, at the cost of which Sarafov was installed in the post by <\/span>Bankyata<\/span> and Peevski. A year ago, we always thought that it couldn’t get any worse. But as the optimist says, it always can! That is why now, dear readers, we present to your attention the second episode of “The Big Bang Theory<\/strong>” <\/span>Laundry<\/strong>“, focused on the past 2024. <\/span> <\/p>\n

Turkish Stream<\/span><\/h2>\n

In 2024, two cases related to abuse and corruption related to the construction of Turkish Stream were crushed in the Sofia City Prosecutor’s Office (Sofia City Prosecutor’s Office)<\/span><\/b>” – 20097\/2022 and 18780\/2023 according to the inventory of the Sofia City Prosecutor’s Office. The first case concerns violations of the law by officials during the construction of the gas pipeline, established, among other things, by an act of the PFIA. <\/span><\/p>\n

The interesting thing about this case was that it had already been quietly terminated once. After the outbreak of the Borisov-Geshev war, however, in June 2023 it was <\/span>Reactivated<\/b><\/a> from SAP. To date, under the skilful leadership of the Ninth Dwarf, there is no longer such a danger – given the wonderful relationship between Sarafov and Borisov. <\/span><\/p>\n

The second case, <\/span>according to<\/b><\/a> the Prosecutor’s Office itself, was about “<\/span>unregulated negotiation between subcontractors and contracting authorities to circumvent the Public Procurement Act and the discussion of schemes prohibited by law such as hiring a candidate for a contractor as a subcontractor of part of the project.<\/span><\/i>“But apparently everything is “accurate” there as well, as far as the case is dismissed. The money is spent and the investigation is over, forget it. The motives in both cases are secret. <\/span><\/p>\n

Suffice it to recall that BGN 3 billion of state money was spent on this ill-fated pipe – with the prospect of a highly dubious (to put it mildly) return. Despite the repeated TV incantations of the person from Bankya, how Bulgaria would get terribly rich from the Russian-Turkish pipe, the reality turned out to be completely different. From <\/span>answer<\/b> <\/a>to a parliamentary question from the caretaker Energy Minister Malinov, we understand that the total revenues of Bulgartransgaz for 2024 are BGN 95 million. However, it is not clear how much of this amount is due to the Russian-Turkish pipe. <\/span><\/p>\n

Something else is clear, however. Even if the whole amount came from the Pipe (and it does not come), then at this rate it would take away the modest… 32 years to pay for the pipe. In our humble opinion, this covers the composition of mismanagement on a large scale. Obviously, however, the saraf cover does not think so! <\/span><\/p>\n

Fair & Portnih<\/span><\/h2>\n

We should also pay due attention to the saga around <\/span>the Plovdiv Fair<\/b>. \u041f\u0440\u043e\u043a\u0443\u0440\u0430\u0442\u0443\u0440\u0430\u0442\u0430 \u0441\u044a\u0443\u043c\u044f \u0434\u0430 \u0441\u043c\u0430\u0447\u043a\u0430 \u0438 \u0434\u0432\u0435\u0442\u0435 \u0434\u043e\u0441\u044a\u0434\u0435\u0431\u043d\u0438 \u043f\u0440\u043e\u0438\u0437\u0432\u043e\u0434\u0441\u0442\u0432\u0430 \u043f\u043e \u0441\u043b\u0443\u0447\u0430\u044f – \u043a\u0430\u043a\u0442\u043e \u0442\u043e\u0432\u0430, \u043a\u0430\u0441\u0430\u0435\u0449\u043e \u0431\u0438\u0432\u0448\u0438\u044f \u0432\u0430\u0440\u043d\u0435\u043d\u0441\u043a\u0438 \u043a\u043c\u0435\u0442 <\/span>Ivan Portnih<\/b> (GERB), as well as this with regard to the former Plovdiv mayor <\/span>Zdravko Dimitrov – Zico<\/b> (GERB). <\/span> And while the motives of the Plovdiv Prosecutor’s Office remain unknown for now<\/span><\/span>, BIRD.BG is already analyzing the motives of the Varna Prosecutor’s Office – as you can recall <\/span><\/a>here<\/b><\/a> <\/p>\n

– and they can only be described as outrageous. A textbook example of law enforcement of former Gerber greats – and in general a flight of prosecutorial “thought”, which is an insult to the law. To top it all off – prosecutor Galina Mincheva chooses a convenient legal qualification, in which there is no one to appeal to the court. This vile prosecutorial trick is used everywhere. MP Stela Nikolova, however, sent a signal to the Appellate Prosecutor’s Office, and then to the Supreme Prosecutor’s Office, in order to exercise ex officio instance control over the decree. With no less outrageous motives, however, they cemented the “work” of Prok. Danny. The investigation is over, forget it. <\/span><\/p>\n

However, with this, the prosecutor’s care of the person <\/span>Ivan Portnih<\/b> (GERB) does not end. After two unsuccessful attempts to submit to the court a shoddy indictment for <\/span>fecal spill in the Bay of Varna<\/b>, in October the prosecutor’s office quietly <\/span>stopped<\/b><\/a> Case. Apparently, the command from Bankya continues to act as strongly, at all levels. This time, however, there was no one to appeal! The mayor of Varna Kotsev appealed to the court, which on November 21 canceled the termination. <\/span>Definition<\/b><\/a> of Judge Nanjing is really magnificent and indicates to Prosecutor Silviyan Stoyanov, point by point, what and how he should do in the case. Something like a clear roadmap that also highlights the stark difference between the judges’ analysis and the blurred, burdened prosecutorial “logic”. Which, very likely, is directed “from above” in the direction of Portnih’s washing. Instead of fulfilling the instructions of the court, however, proc. Stoyanov sat down to write a protest to the Court of Appeal – apparently hoping that there would be a more accommodating and more understanding judge. It remains to be seen, we will follow and inform to what extent there are hard fans of the political party GERB in the Varna Court of Appeal. <\/span><\/p>\n

From the Bastion of the Dwarves<\/span><\/h2>\n

And now it is time to pay attention again to the Sofia City Prosecutor’s Office – the Prosecutor’s Office, famous as a bastion of the Dwarves. The cases with the highest stakes and with the highest public interest are heard there. This year the crushing there lasted with 200. <\/span><\/p>\n

Prosecutors Svetoslav Milushev and Magdalena Nikolova <\/span>crushed<\/b><\/a> the case separated from <\/span>Barcelona Gate<\/b><\/a> and called by the city prosecutor Iliana Kirilova “Istanbulgate”. This case concerned Borisov only indirectly, but it was still a serious source of concern for him. The persons investigated there were his concubine – Borislava Yovcheva, as well as the “cat” from the Bankya circle Rosen Rusimov, who is irrigated <\/span>Financed<\/b><\/a> her affluent lifestyle. The termination decree, which never passed judicial review, remains a secret. Currently, BIRD.BG a case is being filed under the APIA in order to gain access to this decree. Unlike the prosecutor’s act on Barcelona Gate, which nevertheless became public, here perhaps even more inconvenient things are written, which the prosecutor’s office does not want to see the light of day. <\/span><\/p>\n

Just before Christmas, as a gift for <\/span>“<\/span>OZK Insurance<\/b>” to the energy oligarch and “consultant” <\/span>Hristo Kovachki<\/b> and the caretaker ministers serving him, the Sofia City Prosecutor’s Office closed another case. It had as its object the scandalous “gift”, or we would even say <\/span>illegal state aid<\/b><\/a>, authorized by Minister Petko Nikolov through “<\/span>Montages<\/b><\/a>” EAD. And when we say illegal state aid, we cannot ignore the “achievements” of another Gerber great, the former Minister of Sports Krasen Kralev. In the midst of the protests in defense of Pirin National Park, the Sofia City Prosecutor’s Office launched two investigations: for illegal <\/span>an increase<\/b><\/a> in the concession area in favor of <\/span>Tseko Minev<\/b>, <\/span>pardon<\/span> the “<\/span>Yulen<\/b>“” – as well as for illegally allocated millions to the same company by the Ministry of Youth and Sports. In mid-November, the case against the former Minister of Sports <\/span>Krasen Kralev<\/b> (GERB) was <\/span>terminated<\/b><\/a> with unknown motives, and it is unlikely that the caretaker sports minister will dare to appeal. Given the fact that his boss is actually Boyko – through the coat of arms Glavchev. We remind you that the first case – about the exceeded concession area – was crushed back in 2019. And not from anyone, but from prosecutor Emil Petrov, brother of the famous owner of the notorious marketplace of destinies “The Eight Dwarfs” – Petyo Petrov – the Euro. <\/span><\/p>\n

Next, we will highlight a case that has remained a little under the radar over the years. It is associated with thousands of <\/span>illegal SSDs<\/b>, written at the time by the scandalous Vladimira Yaneva. Here it is worth recalling two things – Yaneva was the first (and so far the only) president of a court convicted of an intentional crime of a general nature. Moreover, before the special court went wild and started stamping SSDs by the kilogram, this function was performed precisely by Yaneva in the SCC (and to some extent by her deputies, who, however, were not dismissed from the system, unlike her). So, it was in connection with these illegal SSDs that in the distant 2017 the Sofia City Prosecutor’s Office launched pre-trial proceedings, with approx. prosecutor Klementina Palicheva. According to Yaneva’s own confessions, which we heard in “Yaneva Gate”, she even authorized wiretapping of embassies of our allied countries. To this day, it is not clear WHO holds the archive of undestroyed Special Surveillance Devices and VDS, collected at the time of – and with the signature of – Yaneva. However, it is undeniably clear that the Sofia City Prosecutor’s Office terminated this pre-trial proceeding in March 2024. And again, the motives are secret – and again there is no one to appeal. We also learned something else – Palicheva has been promoted in the meantime in the Supreme Prosecutor’s Office. A reward for faithful service, you see, i.e. a reward for crushing, which obviously suits someone. And for dessert, we will only point out that the convicted Yaneva <\/span><\/b> entered as a lawyer in Pazardzhik and enjoys an enviable standard of living, now in his role as <\/span><\/a>a major<\/b><\/a> construction contractor.<\/span> You probably remember the <\/span>scandal<\/b><\/a> that broke out around the<\/span> Help Karma<\/b> Foundation, after the journalistic <\/span>investigation<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n

of Maria Tsantsarova in 2020. Then the prosecutor’s office allegedly rushed to investigate with 200. This “foundation” became possible after the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office headed by Ivan Geshev literally “gutted” the Fund for the Treatment of Children \u2013 so that some of our people could collect some good (accumulated there) money. At a later stage, the case against the management of the Fund quietly fell apart, as expected. “Help Karma” subsequently attracted millions of levs from parents of young children disillusioned by the state \u2013 children whose treatment turned out to be beyond the power of the Bulgarian medicine. However, we have not heard of even a single child being treated abroad with these funds. Instead, the foundation’s bosses became fabulously rich \u2013 like some visitors to the Eight Dwarfs. <\/span><\/p>\n

On 20.11.2024, the anonymous voyeur, <\/span>sorry<\/span> supervising, a prosecutor from the Sofia City Prosecutor’s Office terminated the criminal proceedings. The motives remain unknown. It is not clear whether there is anyone to appeal to the court. A disgusting but widespread practice of prosecutors in economic crimes is not to constitute the injured and injured persons in the case. So that later there is no one to appeal to the court \u2013 and no additional work is created for the supervising prosecutor. <\/span><\/p>\n

After <\/span>we highlighted<\/b><\/a> the termination – and after a subsequent inquiry from BTV – the Sofia City Prosecutor’s Office <\/span>admitted<\/b><\/a>that Konstantin Krastev appealed against the grounds for termination – asking for a ruling that there was no crime at all. This only confirms what we pointed out earlier that the prosecutor deliberately does not constitute injured and injured persons, so as not to create “unnecessary” work for him. But in this case, something else is strange – a month and a half has passed since the termination, and however, no such lawsuit filed by Krastev has been found in the court registers. Therefore, the question remains how credible the prosecution’s statement is – and whether the decree will ever see the light of day. <\/span><\/p>\n

In the past year, the case related to <\/span>scandalous<\/b><\/a> illegal transplants<\/b> was also suspended of organs from living donors, performed at the Government Hospital during Borisov’s third term. The Prosecutor’s Office owes answers here as well why it has suspended the case, although it has not yet provided such to the public. According to our unofficial information, the most likely reasons are in two directions. The first is that a large part of the “beneficiaries” of the organs (mostly Israelis, but also dignitaries from the oil monarchies in the Gulf) do not want to give explanations to the Sofia City Prosecutor’s Office. It is also unclear to what extent (and whether) the mechanisms of court orders for interrogations in Israel have worked. The second reason is that the organ donors themselves cannot be found to be questioned. For the most part, these are actually citizens of underdeveloped countries from the Third World – i.e. even if they are discovered, it is not clear how and if they can be interrogated at all. However, this does not in any way remove the criminal responsibility of the Bulgarian management of the hospital during the past period, as well as of certain officials in the ministry. Why the Prosecutor’s Office does not actively work in this direction remains a mystery and a mystery. Most likely because these persons were (and still are) coats of arms. <\/span><\/p>\n

For dessert<\/span>, we will also point out the inglorious <\/span>finale<\/b><\/a> of a classic work-bat – the so-called. Back in 2017, the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office, headed by Geshev, concocted a contract case at the request of the Peevski phenomenon, directed against the arms dealer Gebrev, his son and their colleagues from the Dunarit military plant. Asked then for a comment at his summer villa, Tsatsarov was laconic: “I am not familiar with the case, ask Geshev.” <\/span><\/p>\n

At that time, the State Enterprise was furious that it was losing commercial cases in the battle to control this appetizing morsel of the disintegrating “Corpbank Empire”. Because he failed to “break through” one of the judges in the cases, the Corpulent activated his subordinate (and cheap) prosecutor’s office. Seven years later, the prosecutor’s office itself dismissed the case – admitting half-heartedly that there were no grounds for criminal proceedings in the first place. However, this did not prevent the entire repressive apparatus of the Peev-Boris state from falling on the accused managers and owners. <\/span><\/p>\n

To date, the NRA, the KONPI and so on <\/span>have lost<\/b><\/a> all possible cases, and they were sentenced to pay serious costs (i.e. we have to pay them). It even went so far as Peevski, in his impotent malice, to incite against Gebrevi the Russian GRU and its specialized squad of assassins with the ranks of colonels – fortunately, without success. The attack in question with the chemical warfare agent of the Novichok type is currently the subject of criminal proceedings. However, prosecutors are very careful not to get to the corpulent Bulgarian guarantor, who was highlighted<\/a> by the Panama Papers as being linked<\/a> to the offshore company “Viafot”, claiming “Dunarit”. And although the corpulent interest shone like a louse on the forehead, the case for this terrorist act, initiated back in 2015, is still “juggling” and chicanery – currently by a supervising prosecutor who is tough <\/span>Putinist<\/b><\/a> and Stalinist.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
