The Spanish company with Borislava Yovcheva ‘s luxury boutique in Barcelona was bought in March by Rositsa Velkova – a former GERB expert involved in the “Hoheger” scandal. Immediately after that she sold the scandalous asset to the wife of Svetoslav Spasov, who is a former adviser to Prime Minister Boyko Borissov, a diplomat in Vienna and is famous as Borissov’s personal astrologer. Spasov, however, claims that he and his wife separated months before the deal and he didn’t even know about it.
The company Ema BGS S.L. held the luxury boutique Ermanno Scervino in Barcelona, whose manager was the former “Miss Bikini” Borislava Jovcheva. The shop was promptly emptied after El Periodico reported on February 20 an investigation of the Catalan police for money laundering, in which the name of the Bulgarian prime minister was also involved.
Investigators were also interested in Ema BGS because of the dubious origin of its capital and working capital. According to them, the amount invested in Ema BGS S.L. reaches 2.3 million euros. The former mannequin Borislava Yovcheva is not listed as an administrator of the company, but she exercised “management and control functions” in the store, Spanish investigators say.
Immediately after El Periodico’s publication, the Sherwinho boutique was emptied of its merchandise and closed, and three weeks later Ema BGS became owned by a Bulgarian company, documents from the Spanish Commercial Registry show.

The transfer of ownership and the appointment of a new manager of Ema BGS took place on Thursday 12 March 2020. The company’s capital of 1 753 010 euros has not been changed, but it has been acquired by the Bulgarian company “ViBiGi Energy”, which at least until this day is owned by Rositsa Velkova.
The very next day – Friday 13 March, Rositsa Velkova sold “ViBiGi Energy” to Desislava Spasova. She is the wife of Svetoslav Spasov, known as a close adviser of Boyko Borissov and even his personal astrologer. However, the name of Rositsa Velkova as a representative of ViBiGi is still on the Spanish register.

The rush of transactions and the missing business logic behind this commercial operation are obvious. “ViBiGi is engaged in electricity and gas trading and Ema BGS S.L. is engaged in trading of fashion items. The 2019 financial statement shows that the assets of ViBiGi and its trading profits are much more modest than the capital and turnover of Ema BGS S.L.

It is not clear how much the transfer of ownership cost. Over the years, Ema BGS S.L. has accumulated an impressive liability of more than €1.2 million for 2015 and 2016. No more recent company accounts have been published.

Until now, the address of the company Ema BGS SL is still in the same place as the now closed boutique – PASEO GRACIA, 104, Barcelona.
Who’s who in the deal for the boutique
Desislava Spasova is a lawyer and nuclear law expert at the International Atomic Energy Agency. We contacted her on the phone and she said that since the beginning of 2020 she is in a de facto separation with Svetoslav Spasov. Adv. Spasova did not want to comment publicly on the deal for V&G Energy and the circumstances surrounding the acquisition of Ema BGS, which was made before it took ownership of the Bulgarian company.

Svetoslav Spasov is a well-known activist from the NMSV in the past, having served two terms as a deputy. As a young politician he led the Liberal Youth Assembly together with the young Delyan Peevski. From old interviews of Spasov it is understood that he has a positive opinion of Peevski and the honorary chairman of MRF Ahmed Dogan.
“I have known Dogan since 1995, he is a forward-looking man who believes in young people” For Mr. Peevski, Spasov says he “saw in him a potential that will develop”.
Quote from Maria Shakhamova’s material in the Forum
Spasov’s most memorable statement from this period is that under the building of the National Assembly there are cemeteries and lakes with negative energy that interfered with the legislative process.
At the end of the Triple Coalition Spasov was briefly in the breakaway BND, and then turned to the rising star of GERB and was appointed adviser to Boyko Borissov at the beginning of his first term. In the political cabinet, he was responsible for the Military-Industrial Complex as Secretary of the Inter-Ministerial Council for the Military-Industrial Complex and the country’s mobilisation readiness.
Svetoslav Spasov is a graduate of History at the Bishop Konstantin Preslavski University and International Economic Relations at the UNWE. He also holds a PhD in Military Political Science from the G. С. Rakovski”. However, the media prefer to deal with his knowledge of esotericism – chiromancy, astrology and feng shui. Spasov is even considered to be Prime Minister Borissov’s personal astrologer.
Asked by 19′ newspaper about his adviser’s skills, the PM said:
“Spasov is not looking at my hand. And without guessing, I know that this year, 2010, is the most complicated possible.”
Boyko Borissov, Prime Minister, quoted by the newspaper. 19 min.
In May 2010, Spasov fell into the crosshairs of the prosecution for unfavourable land swaps. This event probably separates him from the immediate prime ministerial entourage and sends him Bulgaria’s ambassador to the Permanent Mission to the UN, OSCE in Vienna, where he remains until mid-2019.
BRRD contacted Svetoslav Spasov by phone. He confirmed that he has been separated from his wife since late 2019 and said he knows nothing about her deal with the company VIBG Energy. Asked if he was still close to the prime minister, Spasov said he had not seen him for years. He is currently teaching at the UNWE.
Rositsa Velkova is best known for her role in the Hoheger lobby scandal, but also as an expert of GERB, author of part of the party’s programme. In a publication of the magazine. “Tema” of 26 February 2009, she was identified as one of the“ideologues of gerberianism“, Offnews recalls. And according to a publication in Computerworld.bg. from 6 July 2009 Velkova is the coordinator of GERB’s IT team, which prepared the party’s ICT strategy ahead of the 2009 parliamentary elections.
In 2012, when the “Hoheger” scandal broke out again, Velkova went to the media and explained that she actually had nothing to do with GERB. It is contradicted by videos of gatherings where she sits next to Tsvetan Tsvetanov. In more recent times, Velkova has stayed away from the media attention and has been engaged in consultancy activities, judging by the subject matter of her companies “Siisi Goverment Relations”, “Facility Planning”, etc. In her profile on the social network for professionals LinkedIn she introduces herself as a graduate of the University of Vienna and the University of Vienna and owner of VMC – Vienna Management Consulting. With this company, it participated in the now liquidated Hoheger BG as a partner with Hoheger See Betailiguns Holding.

Velkova entered the capital of ViBiGi Energy in 2014 and became a partner of Emil Merdjanov. The latter has an impressive track record with public procurement through his company Pro Arm. Over the years, the company has supplied fittings to various state-owned enterprises in orders worth over BGN 31 million.
“ViBiGi Energy” got a license for electricity trading from the EWRC on 17.05.2016. According to its new owner Desislava Hristova, the company had experience in gas trading. In its strongest period in 2017, the company paid social security contributions to two people, a NSSI check showed. Then it made 234 thousand leva net sales revenue. In 2018, the revenue dropped to BGN 145 thousand and in 2019 it increased to BGN 224 thousand.
Again in its strong 2017 year, ViBiGi Energy acquired two properties: an 87 sq. m. apartment on ul. and an apartment in Nessebar of 72 sq. m. for 88 012 BGN. They were mortgaged in 2019 against a loan from Piraeus Bank for BGN 110 000. In June 2020, when the owner is already Desislava Hristova, the mortgage was deleted.
Velkova could not be reached for comment at several addresses of her companies that our reporter visited.
The Fairytale Life of Borislava Yovcheva
Borislava Yovcheva from Sandanski is a former “Miss Bikini” and since 2012 she has been considered to be close to Prime Minister Borisov. Her brother is the football player Stanko Yovchev, who that year made a sharp jump in his career and became a central striker of CSKA without having the qualities for such. Sports journalists and activists testify about the relationship between Borisov and Yovcheva. The most outspoken is the comment of former CSKA sport director Dragomir Simonovic – Duci:
”It was clear to everyone, right now I don’t know why no one is talking. Stanko came half a year before I came and it was clear. They warned me that he was the most important person in the team, that it was very important that he didn’t get injured and something happened. At that time the then and current Prime Minister had a relationship with Stanko’s sister – Borislava Yovcheva.”
The former CSKA sports director – Dragoljub Simonovic – Duci, in the program ”EuroDikoF” on TV Eurocom.
In this spirit is the comment of the sports journalist Vladimir Zarkov in the social network Facebook:
HE claims he does not know the mannequin Borislava Yovcheva. ***** Strange how she knows her brother Stanko then. And why did he order an entire team not to kick…his brother-in-law. ****** I saw it with my own eyes on 18.11.2013. This morning there was a GERB rally in Plovdiv, a big one. And in the afternoon Lokomotiv welcomed Vitosha Bistritsa in a rematch for the cup. The Plovdiv players had been beaten 5-0 in the first meeting, and the enlightened knew that the rematch was a hard “two”. ******* That’s why I was amazed that HE became the first person in the world with that position to play in a settled game. And for toto. He came on in the second half. Then Stanko came into play. And while he was chuckling, he told Aymen Belaid not to kick the new striker too much for becoming his son-in-law. There was an audience of 300 people at Lauta and you could hear everything. ****** After the match Koko Dinev took Stanko Yovchev personally to Sandanski, where they are both from. That’s where HE’s motorcade went! And HE is not from Sandanski. ***** Stanko Machinata’s sister, however, is from there.
Vladimir Zarkov – sports journalist.
In fact, Borissov has not denied that he knows Yovcheva. Asked by journalists in Brussels on 21 February whether he knew her, he replied:
“I don’t deal with personal life. I don’t speak on this topic because it’s not nice for a man to start commenting on who he knows because they are getting white. Moreover, a lot of people have families afterwards, they have completely different lives.”
Much later, it became known from a BRRD investigation that at that point Yovcheva already had a family, as on 16 February 2020 she married Yordan Hristov. Hristov himself shows a strange attitude to this important life act and says that his marriage with Yovcheva was a mistake.
Already at the beginning of 2013. Borislava Jovcheva set her sights on the Catalan capital and on 22 January acquired the company Numin Invest with 3,000 euros in capital. Two months later, incredible luck befell her. The wealthy Bulgarian businessman Alexander Chaushev invested 2.9 million euros in her company in the form of a luxury house in Barcelona, where Yovcheva lives with her child and her parents.

Two years later, the young lady started a fashion business. The company Ema BGS S.L. was registered in August 2014 by Georgi Yovchev, father of Borislava Yovcheva with a capital of 3010 euros. On 10 February 2015, he contributed a further €500,000 in capital and took on a new partner, the offshore company Palms Enterprises, which also contributed €500,000. On June 16, 2015, the capital was increased by another 750,000 euros shared between Yovchev and Palms. Yovcheva’s father remains the majority shareholder with 3010 euros more than Palms. Ema BGS rents space in Barcelona’s most expensive location and opens a boutique by Italian designer Ermanno Scervino.

The brand “Sherwinho”, as well as the house in Barcelona, became popular around the recordings of Judge Vladimira Yaneva, published by the investigative website Bivol in 2016. In them, the former judge commented on women next to Prime Minister Borissov.
V.J.: That’s right, there’s one, and she bought a house in Barcellona for a million and a half euros! There’s another one, she went to Sherwinho, I forget her name, who was a very close friend of his from the Cats, a woman. What her name was I can’t think of at the moment. Anyway. She was his protocol.
Judge Vladimira Yaneva
In fact, a lady close to Borissov’s heart became known in 2012, when he said in an interview with Mirolyuba Benatova that there was a lady who was close to him and when he was done with politics he would marry her. Eight years later, the prime minister has not taken any action of a matrimonial nature.
Questions about (a lot of) money
In the tangled saga surrounding the house in Barcelona, there are several financial issues that remain unresolved.
It is a complete mystery how Georgi Yovchev, who worked as a plumber, got 875 000 euros for the capital increase of the company Ema BGS. The Bulgarian prosecutor’s office and the NRA were supposed to check his property situation, but there is no information on how far it went.

The Cyprus-registered Palms Enterprises is linked to businessman Yordan Hristov and Ivan Sazdov, the founder of GERB, who is close to Boyko Borissov. Hristov’s then wife, Silvia Nikolova, became co-manager of Ema BGS S.L. with Yovchev after Palms contributed 875,000 euros to Ema BGS S.L.
Hristov himself claims that the money invested by Palms Enterprises in Spain is not his, but he is well aware of the losses of the company Ema BGS SL. Thus far, it remains a mystery who actually poured into the offshore company the money it invested in Barcelona.
It is also unclear what Borislava Yovcheva and her family, who for seven years have led a comfortable life in the Catalan capital, have been living on. They inhabit a 3 million euro house with 9 (nine) bathrooms, whose taxes and maintenance are not low. Jovcheva was travelling in a white Porsche, as Catalan investigators found. The fashion boutique business obviously cannot cover the needs of the family as it is not generating income but huge losses.
It is also unclear how much the transfer of Ema BGS SL to the Bulgarian company cost, as well as with what funds the acquisition took place.
But it is quite obvious which subjects benefit from it. These are the previous owners – Georgi Yovchev, the father of Borislava Yovcheva and the offshore company Palms Enterprises, which is represented in Bulgaria by his new son-in-law, with whom they are almost friends – Yordan Hristov.
Until recently, Yovchev and Palms held shares in the capital of EmaBGS amounting to EUR 1.7 million before selling them to ViBiGi. This is how the family of “Miss Bikini” got rid of the scandalous asset, which attracted the attention of the press in Spain and Bulgaria, and recently of the European Parliament, where questions to Prime Minister Borissov about the investigation in Barcelona were made public.
Is the fact that the company is being transferred by a chain of persons related to Borissov and his party a coincidence? Mathematically it is not, but astrologically speaking it may be due to a fortunate alignment of the heavenly bodies.
