Coup wiretapping: Conversations between the Duce and Borisov. A man of Peevski and a journalist from BIRD were followed.

A real hodgepodge resembles the way in which the security services – in this case – the Counterterrorism Department of the General Directorate for Combatting Organized Crime (GDBOP) has exploited special intelligence means against participants in the anti-corruption protests of the summer of 2020. It turns out that every single participant in the summer of 2020 protest, who exercised his democratic right to civil control and disagreement with an apparently corrupt government, was considered a potential coup plotter. It can be said that the last government of Borisov views the protesters the way they are viewed by the governments in China, North Korea and Iran. Our team was approached by documents that testify that only the counterterrorism department in the General Directorate for Combatting Organized Crime (GDBOP) works on about 3,000 persons with their unique unified civil numbers. What exactly did Borisov and his services think? That there is some large-scale conspiracy in which over 3,000 people have decided to overthrow him? Naturally, the scale of this eavesdropping, tracking, external surveillance, and possibly operational penetration can only be guessed.

It seems that the entire repressive apparatus of the state has worked at full speed against those who do not agree to be the most corrupt and poor country in Europe. There is no evidence of terrorism. After winning a case under the Access to Public Information Act, DG “Boets” proved that Molotov cocktails and homemade bombs were not detained in the protesters’ tents, and the SDVR is lying.

Who are the “scary” terrorists? Among the names presented to the parliamentary committee “Hadzhigenov” at first reading stand out some very interesting names such as that of the former leader of the CSKA supporter Dimitar Angelov – the Duce, as well as the convicted for drug distribution current leader of the supporter – Rosen Petrov, nicknamed “The Animal”. Both are popular personalities mainly in football circles. Kaloyan Angelov Stoyanov – Tsimbaka is also among those heard. He is also part of the CSKA fan club. Stoyanov and his brother have been popular characters from criminal chronicles over the past two decades. After 2000, it was claimed that the man had an “insurmountable conflict” with Dimitar Vuchev – Demby. His brother Vladimir Stoyanov – Little Tsimbik was shot and his home was blown up before he went abroad. Best man of Angelov Stoyanov is the restaurateur and politician from the recent past Slavi Binev.

CSKA – enemy number one of the Tutrakan settlement system

From the presence of the above in the list of those 130 names presented to the Hadzhigenov Commission, it can be concluded that “CSKA is enemy number one of the Tutrakan settlement system.” To make it even more controversial, the list published by bird.bg also includes the name of Alexander Tomov – the current presidential candidate. The latter, however, is mildly “unloved” by the CSKA supporter, who blames him for numerous woes and failures. Someone in the Interior Ministry, however, has decided that four people who would kill each other if they were confined in the same room collaborated with the sole purpose of overthrowing Borisov. Of course, there is no evidence in this direction.

At one point, apparently, former Prime Minister Borissov decided that he would take the situation into “his own hands” and even called “on a direct line” to the “Duce”, which was developed under the pseudonym “Dyako”. On 09.08.2020 at 21:13 Borisov calls him from mobile phone 359888XXX and asks him if he has really sworn him to Eagles’ Bridge. The object (Deako) replies that he does not swear because he has a grandchild, and that Niki from Oborishte and Orlin (probably Orlin Alexiev) know why he goes to protests. Boyko tells him that he has forgotten very quickly (it is not clear exactly what he has forgotten). His subject replied that many of the people who are around him are highly toxic and should be baptized. Borisov asks him what kind of work they are on Eagles’ Bridge. The site replied that 12 restaurants had been closed to him and had nothing to eat. Borisov replies it “and what will fix you”. The object replies that Vladi Goranov should fix it for him. Borisov tells him, “what to fix for you, to rub tickets pensioners.” Dyakov told him that “he personally saw with his own eyes how Goranov entered Vasil and how he smoked cigars, how he pretended to be fatty, this liar..”. Borisov asks why you haven’t paid your taxes? The object asks why Tsvetomir does not pay them, but has become a “klosharevets”. Borisov tells him not to look at others, but to pay theirs. The object replies that he paid his own and that for 16 years there was a Eurofootball and paid it and no one told him that he was wrong, and now he has nothing to eat. Boyko tells him that he is in more intrigue and not to call him anymore (as if the Duce has called him, not he called him).

Apparently, according to the Ministry of Interior, the driving motive of the coup d’état “Dyako” is to take down Borisov and reopen his cafes and sell his lottery. This is undoubtedly an essential motivation for serious and thorough anti-state activity. From most of Dyako’s conversations, we understand that he eats, drinks and protests.

Of course, from the applied SSDs and the printouts from the eavesdropping, some specific moments of the life of the Bulgarian during the government of PP GERB are revealed. On 27.08.20 at 09:50 Alexander Dyakov – son of the site “Dyako” talked with his father about arranging a kindergarten of his grandson. Dyakov announces that he has a meeting with Deputy Mayor Chobanov, and his son says that Valeri Simeonov has promised to help. Apparently, during the management of Mayor Fandakova, heaven has come to earth and you need at least talks or direct help at least to Borisov’s coalition partner to arrange your child or grandchild to kindergarten. The situation is very reminiscent of mature socialism, when it took the help of a “non-accidental party” to get the job done. In 2020 – you need to know from a mayor up to have your child go to kindergarten in Sofia. To make the situation even more absurd on September 9 of the same year – 2020 at 14:51h. the “Duce” is called by Valeri Simeonov / NFSB / who asks if the child / grandson of the site / in kindergarten / is accepted? How scary a terrorist and a coup plotter can a man be who fails to arrange his grandchild to kindergarten? Probably, the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Bulgaria could investigate Valeri Simeonov for trading influence in connection with the allocation of places in kindergartens. Another evidence of irregularities the recordings obviously do not contain, if we do not count the peppery swear words of the site “Dyako” regarding Borisov and PP GERB. And to curse Borisov is still not a composite act, especially if you witness daily abuses throughout society during his rule.

One of the “most exciting” moments of the recordings is the conversation from September 14 last year between Konstantin Marinov and “Dyako”, in which the two talk about the import of vodka, about “The Animal”, about “Kyustendil”, about someone who has untied 1 million, passed through “Gerena” for provocateurs who passed through “Ipon” and “Delta Guard”. In the databases bird.bg accessed, there is no data on SSDs applied to Sofia West, Ipon and Delta Guard. Apparently, the allegations that they finance the provocateurs of the protest have not intrigued the services or services alone or under someone’s leadership have decided to neglect this information.

Among the wiretapped faces is a full-fledged presidential candidate – Kostadin Kostadinov and Elena Guncheva, nominated by the political party “Vazrazhdane”. To the extraordinary commission “Hadzhigenov”, his capacity as a wiretapped person reached the close to Vasil Bojkov “The Skull” – Alexander Tumparov.

Among the names published by bird.bg is the name of Atanas Ivanov Kalev, who recently enjoys the reputation of being particularly close to the Deputy Chairman of the last National Assembly – Rositsa Kirova. Kalev himself points out the closeness with Kirova through his posts on social networks.

The leader of the list for Pazardzhik of the party Bulgarian National Union – Strahil Dimchev Simeonov, is also among those bugged. The interest in it is probably justified by the fact that the party in which it is a member partnered in the previous elections with Vasil Bojkov’s “Bulgarian Summer”. For him, publications claim that he was nominated by the MRF as a municipal councilor in the Lovech region. We see that in the local elections in 2015 a person with the same name was a candidate for mayor of Teteven municipality, nominated by the MRF. The Deputy Mayor of the town of Rakitovo – Dimitar Boykov Topalov was also wiretapped. He participated as a candidate for mayor in 2015 on behalf of the political movement “Euroroma”. Press publications claim that he is a person who assists in buying votes in favor of Vasil Bozhkov’s political project – “Bulgarian Summer” for this year’s elections. Another alleged person who assists in the purchase of votes for the elections – Asen Zhorov Boshnakov was also bugged. The names of Boshnakov and Topalov, along with Sergey Samuilov Dimitrov, who is also among those wiretapped, fall into a publication of the newspaper “24 hours” as the main dealers of votes for Vasil Bozhkov. According to bird.bg sources, however, Boshnakov has a long “election biography” and has worked successfully with the DPS political party for a long period of time.

The name of Borislav Asenov Mitrev – an employee of the Internal Security Directorate of the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior – Sofia also makes a strong impression. Blagoevgrad, which was also announced as bugged. He boasts a reputation as an inconvenient employee for the status quo, who had serious problems with the previous leadership of the interior ministry. What was the formal reason for him to be among the wiretapped persons at this stage of our investigation is not clear.

Proxy of Peevski and journalist from BIRD.BG in one reference

The alleged oligarch Delyan Peevski, Executive Director of Botev Plovdiv Football Club Angel Kolev Paliyski, who is particularly close to the sanctioned under the global Magnitsky Act, also appears in the arrays bird.bg available. A 2019 publication of the Capital daily reports that a legal entity close to Delyan Peevski was expected to become the owner of the Sunny Day complex in Varna before it was transferred to a company owned by Angel Paliyski. At the time of the wiretapping, Paliiski participated in the management of Botev Plovdiv, together with Rumen Chandarov and Georgi Samuilov – the owner of Insa Oil. The latter is also said to be close to Peevski. Paliiski and Samuilov are said to be the subject of interest from the U.S. Treasury in connection with the implementation of the Global Magnitsky Human Rights Accountability Act.

Inspector Dimitar Traykov Ignatov from Department 03, Sector 01 of the General Directorate for Combatting Organized Crime (GDBOP) requests a reference for operational and search activities regarding Angel Kolev Paliyski, who for some reason, according to the General Directorate for Combatting Organized Crime (GDBOP), falls into a group with Dimitar Dimitrov, Dimitar Kostadinov Stoyanov – a journalist in bird.bg and Alexander Oslan. The reason for the match is the football championship – probably this creates a particularly significant risk to the national security of the Republic of Bulgaria.

Sources from the Temporary Commission for the Investigation of Facts and Circumstances in the Use of Tear Gas, the Use of Force and Auxiliary Means by the Ministry of Interior, carried out on July 10 and September 2, 2020 against protesting citizens, as well as for the investigation of facts and circumstances related to the application of special intelligence means of protesters and opposition leaders, chaired by lawyer Nikolay Hadzhigenov, say, that the MPs in the 46th National Assembly were projected video footage of “external surveillance” at a meeting between the above-mentioned persons. Dimitar Stoyanov clearly remembers that at the meeting in question by persons whom he will not name, confessions were made that football supporters were forced to participate in marches to support the election of Ivan Geshev as a candidate for Prosecutor General. Ironically, with the knowledge of the institution led by the same Geshev, in the next period special intelligence means were exploited in relation to people who supported the events of his election with participation. How exactly the prosecution makes a connection between a journalist from bird.bg and a person alleged to be a proxy of Delyan Peevski is not clear, moreover for the whole public is clear the irreconcilable and constant position of the publication against corruption rampant in Bulgaria.

The team of DG Boets contacted bird.bg to announce that they found through our search engine the names over 20 of their members who were developed in the course of the protests. The chairman of the movement, Georgi Georgiev, was the subject of particular interest from the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office and the Ministry of Interior. The services documented his conversation with investigator Boyko Atanasov on November 16, 2020. Georgiev called Atanasov and told him: “Congratulations. By Geshev’s personal order, a probe was launched against Iliana Kirilova (City Prosecutor in Sofia) on a signal from BOETS for non-compliance with a court decision. In court we have filed an appeal against her and the court has initiated DP against her for non-compliance with a court decision. This is all about Kirilova’s refusal to provide information about Geshev’s affairs. Just now, “Oh, miracle,” I received the information: from 2007 to 2019, Geshev had 16 indictments. One case with a conviction with two persons. These are the total indictments for OCG and tax crimes – one concluded with a verdict and zero lev confiscated funds. 86 DP participated against the tax system and zero leva confiscated. I don’t know what the millions he was talking about. In the tax authorities from participation in 86 cases there are two convicted persons. In total, there are three people convicted and zero leva in twelve years. Now we will see the discrepancies with the previous answer, because here he is from 2007 to 2019, this is his entire experience as a prosecutor. There are four agreements against financial crimes, otherwise there are more and this is false information. We are now starting comparisons because we have eight sheets of tables and info.

Atanassov replied that the prosecutor on the “Untouchables” Yavor Dimitrov was seriously ill in Alexandrovska Hospital and suggested that he had been asked to write nonsense: “Geshev pressured him to fire him. I questioned him in this case in the SJC about the agreement and he confirmed everything and now they pushed him to fire him and he got sick.”

In the vast majority of the recordings contain data about crimes of the government or at least allegations of such. If it wasn’t sad, it would be very funny. In the conditions of COVID-19 crisis, instead of investing in medical institutions and public health, the government of Boyko Borisov is wasting budget funds to eavesdrop indiscriminately because the government has felt threatened. What were the reasons set out in the claims for application of SSDs, which were upheld by the court, we can only guess. It is only a fact that in a country with a democracy, such indiscriminate implementation of SSDs would have been punished to the fullest extent of the law and all responsible persons would have borne criminal responsibility – for all waste of state funds, for the insane commitment of human resources to eavesdropping, for the violation of the rights and freedoms of the protesting Bulgarian citizens, dissatisfied with the corruption-ridden state, in which they live.
