Kapitan Andreevo’s “Golden Laboratory” worked with an invalid accreditation certificate

The scandalous “golden laboratory

” of Kapitan Andreevo “Eurolab 2011”, associated with the no less infamous Ami, Curo and Taki, works and carries out activities at the border without having a valid accreditation by the Executive Agency “Bulgarian Accreditation Service” (EA BAS). This is understood by the response to questions under the APIA received from the agency.

The certificate with which Eurolab 2011 operates has an initial accreditation date of 27.11.2012, or 9 /nine/ years before the establishment of the company in November 2021 and the signing of a contract with the BFSA on December 31, 2021.

BIRD.BG requested to receive under the Access to Public Information Act the documentation regarding the transfer of the accreditation of the Euro Lab Testing Laboratory from 27.11.2012 from the legal entity Interpred Eurologistic EOOD (the company that owns the laboratory initially) to the legal entity Eurolab 2011 EOOD.

The answer is that such a procedure has not been conducted and there are no documents for the reaccreditation. According to the law, however, the certificate is named for the legal entity and cannot be assigned to another legal entity. This means that the new owner must re-accredit himself so as not to work illegally.

In the document, signed by the Executive Director of EA BSA Irena Borislavova

, there is a date of reaccreditation: 30.11.2020, or a year before the establishment of Vasil Dimitrov’s company.

Dimitrov, who appeared in the parliamentary Commission for Prevention and Counteraction of Corruption on May 26, 2022, has a scarce business history, but he also has a connection with Chakarian and Curo.

Dnevnik understands that the company still operates on Kapitan Andreevo, although it no longer makes laboratory analyses of imported agricultural products. Despite the threats of the government, DANS has not yet started inspections at the premises of the laboratory at the border, which were declared an object of national security.
