Three Lies of Mariya Gabriel

The candidate Prime Minister of GERB Maria Nedelcheva – Gabriel has lied publicly at least three times in the past: about her doctorate and about the cheap municipal housing in which she “goods”, but has not declared it.

In a pre-election video of PP GERB for the European elections 2009, Maria Nedelcheva states the following: “by education I am a doctor of political science.”

The claim is in the archived French version of the page. The English version is not so explicit. It mentions more streamlined doctoral studies , which does not necessarily suggest that she defended her dissertation, which had been cooked for 8 years.

Maria Nedelcheva, however, has not defended her doctorate and is not a doctor of political science. This can be seen on theses.fr website, where information about all protected doctoral theses in France must be uploaded. The site is maintained by a specialized French state agency (Agence Bibliographique de l’Enseignement Supérieur), whose principal is the Ministry of Higher Education and Research.

By the way, in the current official biography of Gabriel as a commissioner there is no mention of any doctorate. Probably this is related to the requirement to present a copy of the diploma that the person claims to have.

The second lie of Gabriel is that she has not declared to the European Parliament a municipal housing that she uses in Sofia with a preferential rent of BGN 400 / month for several years. It was laundered for this “omission” by KPKONPI with the finding that at that time MEPs were not considered “officials”.

And the third lie is her claim that she has not used the apartment since 2013. As an investigation by Bivol revealed, Mariya Gabriel continued to pay the electricity lot of the same apartment of 128 square meters, to Nikola Vaptsarov 25 until 2017.
