GERB party activist got an official passport from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The head of the MMA federation Stanislav Nedkov – Stuckey has an official passport from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the grounds that he is the head of a federation, the BRRD learned from its reliable sources.

According to the Ordinance on the terms and conditions for issuing diplomatic and service passports point 12, members of the management of national branch organizations, associations and federations have the right to an official passport.

The Green Passport gives some specific privileges, such as visa-free travel to a number of countries that normally require a visa. Among them are Russia and South Africa. Its bearer has the right to pass through the corridors for diplomats at the border checkpoints in Bulgaria and abroad, as well as the right to spend the night in the diplomatic missions of Bulgaria around the world.

In addition, the government stands (at least in words) behind the holder of an official passport. The text on the cover states that the Minister of Foreign Affairs, on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Bulgaria, asks the civil and military authorities of the States to provide the holder of this passport with the necessary facilities for free and unhindered movement and to provide him with the necessary assistance.

It doesn’t say anything like that on ordinary citizens’ passports.

Last year, the investigative site Bivol revealed that Vasil Bozhkov – the Skull and his wife – had official passports. They are also issued on the basis of their entry in the Board of Directors of a sports federation. At the time the passport was issued, the Skull had a wonderful relationship with the authority that was changing laws in his favor. In his own words, Vasil Bozhkov has paid tens of millions to Finance Minister Vladislav Goranov and Prime Minister Boyko Borisov to ensure business comfort.

Stanislav Nedkov does not hide his political support for the previous government of Boyko Borisov. This support also has a financial explanation. The federation led by him has received over a million leva in subsidies from the sports ministry, the caretaker sports minister revealed last week. Nedkov’s official passport is another formal sign that he was a favorite of the previous government.
