Influent NGOs: 982 spots State Security agents. Part 1: Tourism

After BIRD updated

the Open Data search application from the Trade Register, it recently developed an integrated public scanner, which allows when entering the name of a person or a company to immediately check what data there are for public procurement, crown subsidies, beneficiaries of European funds, agricultural subsidies, houses for mother-in-law, cheap apartments, swaps, media subsidies, accounts in CCB, declarations of authorized persons, obligations to the NRA, etc., and last but not least – State Security Agents.

Of these, 38 associations in the field of tourism with the participation of DS agents.

Krasimir Petrov Gergov is the person with the most connectivity in a total of 57 companies, associations and foundations. It was declared as full-time employee DS, UBO (scout) by Decision No 72 of 03.08.2009 of the COMMODOS (Commission for Disclosure of Documents and Announcing Affiliation of Bulgarian Citizens to the State Security and the Intelligence Services of the Bulgarian People’s Army), and subsequently several other decisions in 2017 and 2018. He owns properties for millions abroad, owes half a million leva to the NRA and absorbs millions of corona subsidies.

The Ministry of Mariana Nikolova imposed a symbolic fine of BGN 3,856.55. to the concessionaire (he found no reason to request the termination of the concession), and the next day received a letter of thanks for support for the tourism industry from the same National Tourism Board (pictured above). Meanwhile, the prosecutor’s office extended the inspection after two institutions turned out to have different conclusions about the ploughed dunes.
