Minister Taneva’s family was also arranged with corona subsidies from the SFA

The family of Agriculture Minister Desislava Taneva is absorbing shocking subsidies to deal with the COVID-19 crisis. This is clear from the BIRD search engine, which has introduced aid of over BGN 1.3 billion for businesses.

Desislava Taneva has two children with the mayor of Kotel Kosta Karanashev (GERB). His father
Dimitar Karanashev
is a farmer. He took $1,500. of the SFA under measure 21.1 of the RDP. The sister of the mayor (Taneva’s sister) Zoya Karanasheva is also a farmer. She has absorbed only 500 leva in her personal capacity.

The mayor’s first cousin is also named Dimitar Karanashev. With his company ET “Karanashos I” he has absorbed BGN 10,000 . under the program for small and medium-sized enterprises, and separately under the program “Keep me”, for the staff of 6 people.

Other companies owned by Karanashev are also among the subsidized:

EOOD with BGN 1,500 and Amalthea EOOD with BGN 7,500 under Measure Agriculture RDP 21.1, as well as Klack EOOD with BGN 2,300.

Corona subsidies, mainly from the SFA, are also available for GERB cadres in Kotel. For them, the investigative website Bivol showed that they have a high success rate in the absorption of EU funds while Desislava Taneva is a minister.

European funds are allocated by the SFA under Measure 21.1 of the RDP for exceptional temporary support for farmers and small and medium-sized enterprises affected by the COVID-19 crisis. The measure was coordinated by Taneva in her capacity as Minister of Agriculture by Order 03-RD/2418 of 10 August 2020.
