“Motorways EAD has a sexual first aid room

The state-owned company Motorways EAD has furnished itself with a first aid room in its administration building. However, the obligatory cabinet with medicines and bandages is missing there. There is not even one bandage. Instead, the room is equipped with all the trappings of a lodging for intimate encounters – a double bed, a bathroom with a shower with a water massage and a flush to the toilet bowl, a cabinet with drinks and even a box of chocolates.

The first aid room is located right across from Deputy Director Kotev’s office on the seventh floor. There is no logic for it to be right there, because if someone is injured and needs first aid he has to be taken up to the seventh floor and then eventually lowered to the ambulance.

The key to the room is held by the host in the CA of Motorways EAD and is made available for use as required, says Director’s Order Number 3-447 dated 25 September 2020. In order to clarify who was using the room, the new management of Automahistrials EAD has asked for video footage from the security cameras in the corridor, our sources say, but they have not been provided so far.

“Motorways is at the epicentre of a huge scandal with the distribution of state funds for road construction in the dark and in advance to companies close to the previous government. Against the background of these hundreds of millions, the furnishing of the “sexual first aid room” is modest, but the need for it is very controversial.
