The daughter of MOI minister Mladen Marinov in the business circle of Bozhkov and Tsekite. Just a business or a power umbrella?

What do the former Interior Minister and current GERB MP Mladen Marinov and the belligerent gambling bosses brothers Naydenov and Vasil Bozhkov have in common? The connecting link is the sultry brunette Sylvia Mladenova Marinova, who is his daughter. In addition to a promising model, according to the pro-government press, the former interior minister’s daughter also turns out to be a partner in various legal entities with people from both otherwise belligerent camps.

Mladen Marinov’s career in the higher spheres of power began in 2017, when he became Secretary General of the Ministry of Interior and then Minister of Interior. Before that, however, he also held important positions. Since June 2013 he has been Deputy Director of the Sofia Directorate of Interior, and since 2014 he has become its director. Marinov was fired by Borisov because of links with Peevski, and also because of the brutality of the police against the protesters in the summer of 2020. He himself modestly presented himself as a candidate from the “civic quota”.

While Marinov is the director of the Sofia Directorate of Interior and fights crime, his daughter enters into business partnerships with associates of Vasil Bozhkov. At that time, Bozhkov’s gambling business flourished and he had no problems with power, but now he is considered by the prosecution to be the “most dangerous Bulgarian”. Ironically, Marinov will now fight with Bozhkov on the political field. The disgraced oligarch describes GERB’s power as a “junta” and promises to reveal dirt in the course of the election campaign.

On 27 11 2015 began the short partnership between Silvia Mladenova and Nicole Kosturkova – daughter of the former employee of the General Directorate for Combatting Organized Crime Mario Kosturkov. In the months after the escalation of the conflict between Bozhkov and Naydenov, the former anti-mafia became the hero of several media articles pleasing to the government. According to Kosturkov, the articles were commissioned by Vasil Bozhkov to discredit him. In various publications, whose credibility he denies, Kosturkov is described as “fired from the corruption system.” He himself denied that this was the case and explained that he had retired from the Ministry of Interior in 2013, taking his 20 salaries and now taking his pension. The former GDBOP employee denied that he was or was an employee of Efbet. Kosturkov said that in 2014 he started working at the BFU as an expert on integrity and in countering match manipulation. In 2017 and 2018, he also had a consulting contract with Eurofootball to counter match-fixing.

“Bozhkov personally told Boyan Naydenov to remove me and terminate the consulting contract with Eurofootball. That’s it.”

However, the information from Napleaks indicates that this is not the only one. The company “Eurofootball” of Naydenovi and Bozhkov has declared remuneration for Kosturkov to the NRA in 2014 and 2015, that is, before his consulting contracts and at the time when his daughter was a partner with Silvia Mladenova.

Otherwise, Kosturkov does not deny his closeness to the family of gambling bosses, whom he had known since 1993. For the partnership between his daughter and Marinov’s, Kosturkov explained that he wanted to create a business for her. His daughter was accepted to study medicine, and Stefan Naydenov gave him a place to build a car wash, in which his daughter became a partner with Silvia Mladenova. The company’s name is SILNIK CONSULT.

However, Nicole Kosturkova left the company a few months after the company started functioning. She failed to combine the study and work of the car wash. Kosturkova’s share in the company was bought by MVD – 05, a company in which Silvia Mladenova and Stanislava Marinova participated. The latter, as evidenced by Mladen Marinov’s declaration, is his wife and Silvia’s mother.

And in the Skull’s business network

Mladen Marinov’s daughter is also related to Vasil Bojkov’s right hand – the Skull in the construction business – Orlin Georgiev Hadzhiyankov. This happens through the company M INVEST 20. The founding acts and the movement of the company indicate that the company started in 2015 as the sole property of Plamen Plamenov Dimitrov. A month and a little later, by the end of March 2015, the company was changed to an LLC and Silvia Mladenova became a partner of Plamen Dimitrov. At the end of October 2016, the company moved its address to ul. Stefan Karadzha 7. At the end of April 2017, Silvia returned the shares to Plamen Dimitrov, and M INVEST 20 again became EOOD. The last update dates back to March 2018, when Orlin Georgiev Hadzhiankov was registered as the sole owner of the capital.

In March 2017, Plamen Dimitrov, while still a partner of Silvia Marinova, entered into a partnership with Hadjiyankov’s daughter – Kristina Orlinova Hadzhiyankova in the company DESIGNO. It is also located at Stefan Karadzha. On October 27, 2017 Dimitrov is already the sole owner of the capital of DESIGNO EOOD. This happened shortly before it came out of M INVEST 20.

At the address of ul. Stefan Karadzha 7 are registered several of the companies associated with Vasil Bozhkov and Orlin Hadzhiyankov. For example, the company Forbes BG where Hadjiankov’s daughter – Kristina Hadjiyankova is a partner with Elena Nikolaevna Moskvicheva. The company gained notoriety in an attempt to realize a concession for the extraction of minerals and inert materials in the northeastern part of the Maleshevska Mountain, 1 km from the town of Maleshevska. Kresna and 800 meters from the village of Gorna Breznitsa, in the center of the ecological network “Natura 2000”.

Silvia Marinova was also in partnership with Elena Nikolaevna Moskvicheva in 2014 in OLK Invest Group. The following year, the two co-owners transferred their shares to Nina Todorova. The company’s address is still on the street. Stefan Karadzha.

In conclusion, Silvia Marinova is in partnership with the people of the Cecae and the Skull in the period 2014-2017, while they are still partners and there is no conflict between them. Meanwhile, her father was the head of the SVDR and then the Secretary General of the Ministry of Interior. Whether the sultry beauty would be so desirable for a business partner without the key positions in her father’s SDVR is a matter for many millions.
