Goodbye: Karakachanov’s 84-year-old father built 350 square meters. villa in the Tryavna Balkan

Born in 1937, the father of the Minister of Defence Krasimir Karakachanov has built a neat villa with a total area of 350 sq.m. in the Tryavna Balkan, not far from the town of Tryavna. Plachkovtsi. The villa was under rough construction two years ago when the “Apartmentgate” scandal broke out, in which Karakachanov was also involved. Today the building is finished outside, leaving small finishing works on the fence and yard.

Krasimir Karakachanov is also known as Agent and Staff Officer “Ivan” of the State Security. His father Doncho Kanchev Karakachanov is also associated with the State Security. He was a yavocnik and subsequently a full-time employee of the Sixth Department of the State Security under the pseudonym “Ivanov”. Karakachanov-father is a native of the village of Stoevtsi, Tryavna region. He acquired the terrain for the villa in 2013 in the form of a donation from his son Krasimir and his daughter-in-law Rositsa. The meadow, which is in a secluded place, was purchased a few months earlier by the head of IMRO Krasimir Karakachanov for the symbolic amount of BGN 238. To this plot of 1000 sq.m. A further 600 sq.m. was given by a statement of findings.

Subsequently, the agricultural land changed its status and after 2017, when Karakachanov became a minister, construction began on it. As of the spring of 2019, the building is at the stage of rough construction, and at present it is finished. The building has two floors with a built-up area of 169 sq.m. Architecturally it is designed in the Renaissance style of Tryavna and offers a wonderful view of the Balkan.

Thus, the patrimony of Karakachanovi is rounded up with an attractive mountain property. As it became clear from the “Apartmentgate” investigation conducted by Bivol, Karakachanov has acquired a large apartment in Sofia at a price lower than the market one. It has five terraces, three of which are suspected of illegal glazing and addition. A check of the BRRD in the Property Register showed that besides this villa Karakachanovi have properties in the village of Lyubovishte, Sandanski municipality, as well as on the sea in the village of Kranevo, Varna region.
