Anticorruption Commission quietly released the property declarations of MPs. Look who’s got what.

Commission for Combating Corruption and Confiscation of Illegally Acquired Property (
KPKONPI
), headed by Sotir Tsatsarov, quietly published these days the declarations of the deputies of the 44th, 45th and 46th National Assemblies. This happens with months delay, which raised suspicions of deliberate delay. We remind you that Tsatsarov continues More than a year to
hide the discrepancies
in the declarations of power for 2019.

By law, MPs are required to submit declarations upon taking office and upon leaving Parliament. For 2021, the declarations are many in number, as they must submit a declaration when leaving the 44th National Assembly, upon entering and leaving the 45th National Assembly, and upon entering and leaving the 46th National Assembly. The deadline for submitting declarations is one month and for the current 47th National Assembly it still runs.

The information in the register shows that 10 deputies have not submitted declarations at all, and 40 have done so late.

Here is what the political leaders of the main political formations have declared (or have not declared) this year:

Boyko Borisov, chairman of GERB, has not submitted a final declaration

Stanislav (Slavi) Trifonov, Chairman of ITN, has not submitted declarations

of property and interests.

Mustafa Karadayi, Chairman of the MRF, in 2020 acquires

a house with an area of 352 sq.m. in Sofia for 852 Euro/sq.m. and a total value of almost BGN 600,000.

Daniel Mitov, Deputy Chairman of GERB, in 2020 acquires

an apartment of 140 sq.m. in Sofia for 821 Euro/sq.m.

Nikolay Nankov, former Deputy Minister of GERB, in 2020 acquired

an apartment of 159 sq.m. in Sofia for 1234 Euro/sq.m. and a garage of 33 sq.m. totaling almost BGN 410,000.

Kornelia Ninova, President of the BSP, in 2020 No

real estate has been acquired.

Hristo Ivanov, co-chairman of DB, in 2020 No

real estate has been acquired.

Atanas Atanasov, Co-Chairman of DB, in 2020 Acquires

Plot 531 sq.m for 3 thousand. Lv. in the village of Tserovo, municipality. Lesichovo.

Valeri Simeonov, chairman of NFSB, has not submitted a final declaration, but only an annual one.

Krasimir Karakachanov, Chairman of VMRO and former Deputy Prime Minister, in 2020 No

real estate has been acquired.

Maya Manolova, co-chair of IBGNI, has no

real estate acquired in 2020.

Nikolay Hadzhigenov, co-chairman of IBGNI, has no

real estate acquired in 2020.

Tatyana Doncheva, IBGNI, in 2021 Acquires

house with yard with total built-up area of 70 sq.m. for 10 thousand BGN in the village of Gorni Varpishta, municipality. Dryanovo. In 2020 he apparently acquired 1/4 and 1/8 of properties in Tryavna and Plachkovtsi respectively.

Delyan Peevski, DPS, has no

real estate acquired in 2020, but uses 11 foreign properties

Rositsa Kirova, GERB, Deputy Speaker of Parliament and former partner of a drug kingpin

from Kosovo, in 2021 added

levels of 12 acres to the 130 fields and other properties she owns.

BRRD maintains an archive and a search engine for property declarations of power, which can be searched by keywords with name, position, institution, etc. Currently, the search engine has information about 319 082 declarations of those in power. The archive also keeps the old declarations from 2007 onwards, which are no longer available on the KPKONPI website.
