BDB’s clients: 2 billion public procurement contracts and 123 million debt to the NRA

The BSRD examines in detail the companies with loans from BDB, for which there is evidence of entered collateral in the Commercial Register and the Property Register. We are talking about 739 companies that have pledged properties (see here), and 173 companies have collateral with shares /see here/.

The BRRD search engine detects 117 companies with loans in the Bulgarian Development Bank, which are contractors of over 2,100 public procurements totaling
over BGN 2 billion
.

They are also found 48 companies with collateral in favor of the Bulgarian Development Bank, which have accumulated a total of over BGN 97 million in liabilities to the NRA. The search engine finds and 15 BDB

borrowers among the 3 billion debts written off

in October 2020 This means that only then the NRA has written off BGN 25.5 million in liabilities of companies with a loan in BDB. There is a possibility that some of these companies have repaid to BDB before indebted to the NRA. Whether this is so should say the check in the state bank initiated by the Minister of Economy.

It should be noted that this is probably only part of the information, as there are loans granted to companies without collateral entered in the Commercial and Property Register.

To this information could be added part of the public procurements won by VIVACOM – the trademark with which the Bulgarian Telecommunications Company

After the privatization of BTC in 2004, collateral was entered in the Commercial Register in favor of various foreign and Bulgarian banks as a pledge in favor of The Bulgarian Development Bank was registered from October 2018 to October 2020, for which Capital informed
