Several very non-random companies are already among the first to claim tens of millions of levs payments under the Recovery and Resilience Plan (HEU). Favorite builders of GERB “GP Group‘ i ‘Trace Group Hold” will receive respectively 48.2 million Lv. и 75 million Lv. The construction of the new section of line 3 of the metro was announced on 18.12.2019. The contracts with “Trace Group Hold” AD amounting to 75 081 394.50 BGN and with “GP Group” AD worth 48 180 061.30 BGN. are Concluded On 21.10.2021 the initial financing of the project was envisaged under the Operational Programme on Transport and Transport Infrastructure. The contracts already awarded are now reported and submitted for funding under the Recovery and Sustainability Plan.

Subsequent HEU payments are at risk

On 16.12.2022, Bulgaria received the first tranche under the Recovery and Resilience Plan amounting to EUR 2.7 billion. Lv.

57 outstanding targets
. The deadline for their implementation expired on 31.12.2022 and the second and subsequent payments under the plan can no longer be received on time. One of the unfulfilled goals is the change of anti-corruption legislation and the reform of KPKONPI.

BIRD will monitor the implementation of the HEU and will integrate the data from the UMIS system into its public scanner – an information system that brings together information about public funds aimed at companies.
